Hey everyone! It has been a crazy, wet week! We've had lots and lots of rain here and when it rains, it pours. The coolest thing about the rain storms is actually right before it rains. Sister Miller and I call it suspended rain because it literally feels like we're walking through floating rain drops. I love it.
Now for the crazy part of the week. We were in Bentonville Monday through Wednesday on an exchange. It was't like a normal exchange though. Sister Miller's MTC companion was honorably sent home early, so we got permission to do it before she left. We got to go to the mission home Wednesday morning for her departure breakfast/devotional. And while I was in Bentonville, I got to go to the Walmart museum😂 What a place that was haha.
Richard is doing awesome! He has kept the Word of Wisdom for about 2 weeks now, and just committed to keep the Law of Chastity after telling us he was ready for it on his own. He's pretty solid. His main concern is the Book of Abraham. He thinks it's all made up and he made us watch an hour long documentary with him about it. I think I've read more about the Book of Abraham this week, then I ever have😂 It's all for a good cause though.
We finally got to meet with Panpan again! We taught him the Plan of Salvation and his insights on it were so good. He asked us which is easier? Laying down, sitting, standing, or running. We always choose the easier option because Satan tempts us and makes it sound better. However, Christ is the best long term investment and we should always choose Him. That is so true. He also explained the atonement in a way that was so familiar, yet totally different. He is so in tune with the Spirit and understands so much more then what we tell him. We invited him to be baptized and his first response was, "Sisters, I am not qualified."😂 After discussing with him for a few more minutes, we haven't officially set a date yet, but he wants to be baptized! I'm so excited for him to keep learning and growing closer to Christ.
We had transfer calls Saturday night. I've never been so nervous for a phone call. But Sister Miller and I are both staying in Fayetteville this next transfer so we're fine, everything is fine😂 I can't believe its been a whole transfer already! Time is a weird thing on a mission.
Love and miss you all! Hooe you have a great week!
Sister Emery Collins
