MTC Week 2

Happy New Year everyone! I hope your holiday season was wonderful! Christmas at the MTC was so so good! It was all about Christ, who was born so we can live again. He is our Savior who knows and loves each and every one of us. I know thats true with my whole heart. Elder Bednar came and spoke to us and it was pretty cool! He talked a lot about receiving revelation and promptings from the spirit, buti really loved another thing he said. He shared the scripture Matthew 5:48 which says "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." He explained that Heavenly Father knows we are not perfect, he just wants us to be complete. So lighten up on ourselves. As long as we're loving and serving others and doing our best, the Lord will make up the difference. David Archuleta came Christmas night too. He performed lots of songs and shared some cool mission experiences he had. Then he shook every missionaries hand. It was great talking to my family too! Love ya fam!

This past week has been full of more classes and teaching practice. We're mentally exhausted by the end of everyday haha. We had our first TRC this week and lots of others. My comps and I teach pretty well together. One of the people we taught asked to take a selfie with us because we were "the sweetest girls" haha. It was cute. During exercise time, my district has starting playing volleyball. Not to brag, but I can sometimes hit the ball now so i'm getting pretty good😏

My comps and I are sister training leaders now! The other district in our zone is heading out to their missions today and tomorrow, so we got all of their assignment. I'm not exactly sure what ours means because I haven't read the binder yet, but it sounds like we're kind of going to be in charge of the new sisters coming into our zone this week. I heard there is like 10 of them so wish us luck. Also, since i'm the senior companion, I get to carry around a handy dandy flip phone incase our branch presidency needs to get ahold of us haha.

I love being here and i'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord! Love and miss you all!❤
