Arkansas Week 1 Fayettechill!!

Wow I've officially been out for 1 month!! And I'm in Arkansas now... woot woot!! You know you're not in Utah anymore when there's a little stripper coffee shop right next to your apartment so that's fun to see everyday👍 My area is Fayetteville YSA. I'm basically serving on the University of Arkansas Campus right now. It's party central on the weekends here. We're not partying of course. My companion and I and another companionship of Elders are working hard, serving in a YSA ward. It's pretty great. My trainer/companion is Sister Miller and I love her! Shes from Idaho and has been on her mission for eight months now. I'm so excited to learn and grow from her as we serve the Lord together!
I taught my first real lesson on Thursday! We taught this guy named Panpan. He's from China and doesn't speak English very well, but is trying to learn it. The gift of tongues is real, even when you're a English speaking mission! Panpan definitely listens to and learns from the Spirit. We have to take things slow with him, but he loves everything we teach him and believes it's all true. I'm so excited for the opportunity to teach him!
One of the first things my companion asked me when I met her was if I liked dogs. I think most of you know the a seer to that question. We have to do so many hours of service a week, so for part of our service, we volunteer at an animal shelter! I literally get to go pet dogs for 1-2 hours everyday. I love it. It's also great because the lady in charge of volunteers loves us and once took lessons from missionaries so we get to talk to her about that sometimes.
The thunder storms here are unreal! There's been huge ones about every other night since I've been here. The weather here is just all around crazy. It snowed about two days ago for like 2 or 3 hours. It wasn't even that much but it was going sideways because of how windy it was. Then about 2 hours after it stopped, everything was just covered in a nice later of ice. We were trapped in the institute building for awhile that day.

I'm so happy to be in Arkansas serving the Lord! Thank you for all the prayers, love, and support! Love and miss you all!
